Description

This sailing dory was built in the mid-1980s at the country's oldest continuously operating boat shop in Essex, Massachusetts.  She was developed from the original dory designed by Simeon Lowell, who founded his shop in 1793.  This design was so successful that the US Life Saving Service  used these dories for life-saving missions for almost 100 years.  She is a seaworthy sailor and rows well.  She has been recently overhauled and upgraded by her current owner and is on a custom steel trailer. A joy to sail!
