The H22 Sports Boat was designed by the renowned British Architect Rob Humphreys. The H22 is a very simple, fast boat to sail. Powerful rig & sail plan, yet easily controlled from the accomodating, self-draining cockpit(2-6 Crew) thanks to her form stablity and wide beam. Durable construction and integral buoyancy - effectively unsinkable. This version of the H22 was professionally built to Rob's design specicification by W. Partington Marine for the Millenium. Sheathed with bi-axial, fully sealed with West System Epoxy, filled, faired and spray painted with the AWLGRIP Paint System. Pinnell & Bax laminated mainsail with full roach. 2x Hyde hanked Jibs. There is also a new and very effective Hyde Pentex furling jib with vertical 'fly' battens set on below deck Harken furler system. Hyde Assymetric spinnaker set off a retractable carbon bowsprit for easy gybing and exhilarating performance- Max. speed to date 18Knots! Conventional spinnacker, carbon spinnacker pole included offering an optional sail plan depending on racecourse. The D12 forestay incorporating an efficient Karver/Harken purchase system allows for easy rake & rig tension adjustment whilst racing in varying wind & sea conditions. Alloy Formula mast, chrome bronze rigging screws mounted on stainless hinged deck plate to make stepping mast and rig set up simple. Carbon tiller, epoxy sheathed cedar rudder, Stainless pushpit, pulpit, stanchions, Spectra halyards, Harken deck gear. No expense spared. Dry sailed thoughout summer & stored undercover each winter. For a more leisurely sail combine - Lightweight Hyde Pentex mainsail incorporating reef points, car sliders & lazyjacks, Easy furling jib with 2:1 (no awkward winches- no more bruises!), Secure guardwires surrounding the spacious cockpit and this beamy little boat becomes the ideal Daysailer. Thanks to it's retractable lift-keel and light weight structure the H22 will tow behind a family car and easily self launched from any slipway.
