Built by Hunter Boats to a David Thomas design, the Sonata is very seaworthy and fast for its size. You can race it, you can cruise it. Sadly, it’s no longer built, but Hunter Boats made over 400 Sonatas during a period of about 20 years and you'll find Sonatas all around the UK. Many sailing clubs have adopted the Sonata as a one-design class and most of the major regattas have a Sonata start. The Sails in the picture are a new Goacher Genoa and Main purchased for the Nationals approx 3 seasons ago including a new Goacher Spinnaker. In addition, JKA made up a new furling Jib at the same time. The Storm jib and No 2 are Goacher. Also a good but older Main and spinnaker.
