Superb blue water cruiser built 1983. Custom built and professionally fitted out for her present owner with no expense spared. Continuous maintenance and updating of electronics and gear. Probably the best version built to date. This specification would today cost close to 300K. 'Saga Blue' is in excellent condition and is fully equipped for live-aboard comfort and short-handed sailing.
Mechanical Systems
Perkins 4108 four cylinder 50hp diesel engine located abaft the companionway. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever morse controls on pedestal. Shaft drive to fixed 3-bladed propeller. Full engine instrumentation. 120 gallon (545 litres) fuel capacity in 2 stainless steel tanks.

4 X 108 Ah domestic batteries (2009). 1 x 108 Ah engine start battery (2005). Both batteries charging from engine with 120 amp alternator for domestic batteries and 75 amp alternator for engine battery. Smart 3-stage regulator. Smart 3-stage shore charger, 40 Ah, with 2 ports. 240 volt AC ring main with sockets in all cabins
800 watt inverter. Full interior lighting.

Also included: Approx 2,000 worth of tools and spares for everything.
Sails & Spars
Cutter rig with silver anodised aluminium mast, boom and spinnaker pole by John Powell. Tab bolt-on in-mast furling mainsail system (1994). Rotostay electric headsail furling system (2002). Rotostay manual staysail furling system. Stainless steel standing rigging (renewed in 2001). Terylene running rigging.
2 x Lewmar 42 electric self-tailing primary winches with jammers.
1 x Lewmar 42 self-tailing halyard winch on mast. 1 x self tailing mainsheet winch. 2000 worth of assorted braidline (virtually new).

Construction
Moulded and professionally fitted out in 1983 by K R Skentelbery & Sons Ltd of Plymouth for her present owner to a design by Alan Pape. GRP hull finished in blue Awlgrip paint and fitted with 9 Goiot aluminium opening portholes with deadlights. Flush deck and superstructure of 2 layers marine ply with balsa core centre and sheathed in GRP, on mahogany deck beams. Deck clad in TBS non-slip in beige. Forward deckhouse with 2 opening ports and Goiot reverse opening hatch. Aft deckhouse with 6 opening ports and Goiot reverse opening hatch. Hull epoxy treated from new and 4 layers of Gelshield applied in circa 1987. External cast iron shoe (5,090 kgs) bolted to traditional long keel. Hydraulic wheel steering to keel hung rudder. Vetus bowthruster. Self-draining cockpit and anchor well. Large cockpit locker. Reversing Goiot saloon hatch.
